Dear Moon,

Since the time I first saw you, I just cannot take my eyes off you. I am absolutely amazed by your beauty. Your shape, your perfect glow, your shades of grey amongst bright white has made me speechless. Most of all, I am completely mesmerized by your grace. You are a symbol of joy for me and all of humanity. Night after night you give us endless pleasure by just being present. Just looking up at the sky and getting a glimpse of your beauty is enough to get endless joy.

Please continue to bring light to our lives every night and lighten the dark paths. With your help our parents can come back home early and spend more time with their families. Also many people in my village have a tough time walking back from the city because of the tough and dangerous path back home. If you can lend some of your moonlight to me, I can sow the seeds on the sides of the path to make the road brighter. Your help will be of immense help and completely change the lives of everyone in our village.

Finally I want to thank you for being there every night and bringing happiness to my life. Your presence and beauty makes me want to sing songs and create music that is worthy of you. No poems or songs can truly capture the essence of your beauty. Once again I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me and bringing such joy, peace and tranquillity in my life.

Yours sincerely,
Jyoti Sharma
